Museum - Europa

The Europa Room is the original location of the museum and displays the Honours Boards which were recovered from under the stage of the old theatre before demolition. Two or three of them had suffered severely from damp but the remainder have now been preserved and are lining the walls.

This room has itself suffered severly from damp being built into the foot of the cliff. Remedial work was carried out in 2019 and in 2020 the pandemic lockddown provided the opportunity for volunteers to crack on with the internal refurbishment while the public did not have any access.
