Heritage Open Days
Along with some other buildings in Lowestoft the Museum, which is in part of the WW2 administration block built for HMS Europa, participated in the national Heritage Open Days event during early September where buildings not normally open to the public coild be viewed.
The Museum is usually only open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings but on Thursday 7th, Friday 8th September and Saturday 9th September it was open from 10.00am until 2.00pm (closed on Sunday). Admission was and is free.
A full report on the funeral of our late Chairman John Street can be read in the latest Newsletter 82 Spring 2017, available from the Newsletter index page.
Also in the Newsletter are details of our forthcoming Reunion in October. Make sure you book for the dinner by the deadline.
Members, please help save us the postage costs. Let us know if you are happy to receive the Newsletter by email or by downloading it from the website. It will help reduce our considerable postage costs for each distribution.
Sadly the passage of time continues to take its toll on members of the Association who once served in the RN Patrol Service. Surviving relatives might like to help us commemorate the contribution made by those who served by joining the Association in their own right. You would be very welcome.
This space is reserved for the Museum Curator who will use this area to publicise help he needs in relation to the Museum, for example with cataloguing museum exhibits, etc.
